Syllabus and Other Documents
The following are links to files for the handouts I have given but also for additional reading material and for some documents I think students should need/use throughout the year.
The following are links to downloadable files regarding how I have taught my classes and how we did things. These are the things
I showed students on the first day of class: Course Syllabus, a schedule for how we would study our text, a Laboratory Report
format, extra credit opportunities, Quarterly and Written Report formats and descriptions, etc. Not every teacher follows this
plan (maybe no one else does - HA!) but this is what I have used in my teaching.
These web files were ALWAYS the most up-to-date
version and, obviously, were always be available to anyone if they could connect to my website. I did not print these out
for my students unless one or more of them specifically had difficulty and needed a hard copy. By having these always available
to students I felt they had no excuse for not knowing what was expected of them.
{Many of the following have been gathered from various sources as well as things I have written. I apologize to other authors for the lack of sources for some information. I have collected things like these over some 40+ years in Chemistry and do not always know from where. When I find a proper reference for any item I will add it as soon as possible.}
